Upcoming Events and Important Information

  • Monday, September 25 is a Professional Development Day for staff. No Classes will be held on this day.
  • Parent-Teacher-Student conferences are scheduled for Monday, October 16, 2017. You will have the opportunity to meet with up to three of your student's teachers. Available appointment times are from 11:30-6:45. Please contact Trina Ward at 782-5136, extension 1734 to schedule your appointment. If you reach her voicemail please include your name, your student's name, the classes or teachers you would like to meet with, and a time frame that will work for you and your student. You may also email Trina at tward@dcsd.k12.nv.us. Please allow 24 hours for a return call. Note: it is important that your student attend these conferences with you.
  • Parents: Every five years, Douglas High School seeks international recognition by participating in an accreditation process.  So, as part of this essential process, we will be seeking your input about your perceptions of our school.  We would appreciate you taking the time (approximately 20 minutes) to complete the two surveys listed below.
When you are finished with the Climate & Culture Survey, you should be redirected to the Parent Survey.  In case you are not, or in case you need to complete the surveys in two sessions, links are provided for both.
Thank you so much for your support and input in this process!
    Sincerely,
    Joe Girdner
