DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS - Good morning Douglas High!  Today is Thursday, January 21, 2021


SEATING CAPACITY in the commons is now up to 250 people. Social distancing and masks still apply in the commons. If you choose to eat in this area, please find a seat. If you do not want to eat in the commons you may use other areas on campus to eat such as the D courtyard, Media Center courtyard, hallways, or outside in the grassy areas.  ***  To all staff and students, it is very important to continue following the requirements to wear your face coverings and keep six feet of social distancing. This helps us to minimize the risk to all students and staff.


YEARBOOK COUNTDOWN:  Great news !!!  Due to the overwhelming demand for yearbooks this year, Ms. Lamb was able to increase our order by 100 additional books.  Don’t wait until the last minute to purchase your book as they will sell out and we will not be able to order more!


GIRLS SOCCER preseason conditioning will begin onTuesday, January 26th from 2:45- 4pm on the grass soccer field and continue each Tuesday from 2:45-4pm and Wednesday  from 3:00-4:30pm until further notice.  Please bring your own water, running and soccer shoes.  To participate, students must be registered on RMA and have all off-season forms completed.


RMA FALL SPORTS DEADLINE is 3:00 pm Friday, February 12th.    To be eligible to compete in a fall sport you must be completely signed up through RMA by the deadline.  Contact Mrs. Cross in the Tiger Cage if you have any questions.


LEADERSHIP 4 TEENS (L4T) virtual workshop “College Planning for every year of High School” will be held on January 26th (Juniors);  February 11th (Seniors); February 18th (Sophomores) and February 23rd (Freshman) from 7-8:00pm.  Savannah Allmett, Boise State University Admissions Counselor & DHS Alumnus, will provide information helping students on their path to higher education.  Online registration is available at www.mefiyi.org .  For more information email team@mefiyi.org
