Senior Awards Night for 2019 will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22 at LifePoint Church (1095 Stephanie).

If you have any additional questions about scholarships, please visit your counselor. 

Steps to Complete Your CAP Packet
  1. Complete the Douglas High School Common Application Packet. This packet includes:

  2. Follow these steps when filling out the common application:
    • When using your Douglas High School Common Application Packet to apply for a scholarship, please use a cover sheet as your first page. This should have your name and the name of the scholarship you are applying for.
    • Bring your completed Douglas High School Common Application Packet (CAP) to Pattie Dack in the counseling office.
    • Monitor scholarships, deadlines and application instructions via e-mail or on-line.
The 3 Levels of Scholarships

  2. University: Get a printout of important deadline dates, especially scholarship consideration dates
    • UNR/UNLV: February 1st
    • WNC: April 1st
  3. Local: DHS Scholarship Office
What Parents Need to Know
  1. Local donors pick the recipient, (their $, their choice)
  2. There are no guarantees.
  3. DHS Scholarship Committee utilizes the donor’s criteria for selection of those scholarships that are designated for review.
